HOWEVER, this info comes from multiple secondary sources that could be unreliable. nevertheless, i can't find an official press release with either launch date, and the april 2 date is corroborated by multiple accounts, so it is likely true

  • 20:0320:03, 1 July 2024 diff hist −489 Wiias per the discussion with ferret in the talk form back in march, there is no reliable evidence that wii was discontinued in 2017. all that could be proven was that nintendo still sold backstock wii minis systems on their north american website until march 2017. the siliconera article was not the origin of the 2017 date, as the article was published in november 2018, after the first edit listing a 2017 discontinuation was made in january 2018
  • 19:5219:52, 1 July 2024 diff hist 0 Disney's One Toodo we have any actual proof the block ended on august 29th and not august 31st??? even though the disney wiki claims an august 29, 2003 end date, there's no proof/source, and anyone can edit a fandom wiki, meaning fandom wikis are seldom reliable sources. until we get more official proof, we should use the previous august 31st end date
