  • 21:1721:17, 8 January 2023 diff hist −1,117 Born againThe writer of this article quotes an organisation called Central Yearly Meeting of Friends, which s/he says is "a Holiness Quaker denomination". This organisation may exist but as a lifelong Quaker (for over half a century) I have never heard of it. The writer appears to be seriously misinformed. and, at best, generalising from their understanding of the views of a splinter group to attribute those views to the Quaker movement as a whole. This brings the entire article into question. Tags: Reverted section blanking
  • 21:1221:12, 8 January 2023 diff hist −19 m Born againI have removed 'Quaker' from the list of denominations subscribing to the doctrine of being 'born again'. There are evangelical splinter groups from the main Quaker movement but they are in a minority. Quakers in their original and main form are non-doctrinal, not part of the evangelical movement, and do not engage in the 'born again' approach. The statement made here, before I corrected it, was factually incorrect. Tag: Reverted
