  • 08:3908:39, 16 November 2023 diff hist +21 Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople→‎Macedonian Orthodox Church: Only recognised it under the name "Archdiocese of Ohrid", quite explicitly not including "Macedonian Orthodox Church" in the title. Instead of making a whole section here I think it's better to just leave it like that, and I don't think there is any confusion both because of the link and the title of the section. • 08:3408:34, 16 November 2023 diff hist −82 Ecumenical Patriarch of ConstantinopleI don't know if this is necessary and it seems slightly misleading. The Armenian church was always distinct and it isn't "Orthodox" in this sense,it's a completely different sect.It makes it sound like it was only separated for ethnic reasons.A Turkish church technically exists but given the fact that the distinction between Greeks/Turks is traditionally a religious one(meaning "Christian Turks" are generally Greeks),and since it has very few members,I don't know if it needs to be mentioned here. • 14:4114:41, 29 October 2023 diff hist −48 Byzantine EmpireWhy would it literally mean "Monarchy of the Romans"? Translating technical terms between languages isn't exact, but a Greek translation of "Monarchy" component by component would be "Αυτοκρατορία" or "Μοναρχία". In the contemporary Greek there was a clear distinction between a "petty sanguine Monarch" ("Ρήγας") and a Byzantine Emperor ("Βασιλεύς"). I think it's better if we just don't try to translate anything "literally" and just mention the common rendering. Tags: Reverted Visual edit

  • 13:3313:33, 6 October 2023 diff hist +88 Bosnian WarThe Greek Civil War resulted in more casualties, and took place after the end of WWII. The sources which claim this war was the deadliest since WWII seem to count the GCW as part of WWII. I still consider this part important and didn't want to remove it, and I saw this as the only way to keep it without the sentence being false. If anyone can express the same thing less clunkily that would be great. Tags: Reverted Visual edit
