Lack of mushroom dome ventilation fan on the left-frontal turret roof in several KPA images of T-54/55 series tanks distinguish the T-55 from the T-54 and derived Type 59 and as such demonstrate that T-55 is in service with the DPRK. - 20:2020:20, 19 December 2019 diff hist +219 Korean People's Army Ground Force Claims of lack of unreliability of source are unfounded, previous numbers align with what is stated in the report. Numbers are also not particularly fantastic, seeing that very little equipment has been completely retired in the past 60+ years. Specification may be required that much of this equipment may be in reserve or in service with paramilitary units. Tag: Undo

- 19:4919:49, 24 August 2019 diff hist +2 Korean People's Army Ground Force Unknown if DPRK ever acquired any Type 88 to reverse engineer, whereas T-72 and T-80 are known to have been acquired, with several copied aspects of these vehicles appearing in the Pokpung-ho series of tanks. Seeing as the Type 80 line was derived from the Type 69, which itself was derived from the Type-59 (T-55 variant) rather than the Soviet T-62 (which is the basis for all indigenous DPRK tanks), it is unlikely that the Type-88 would have been used as the basis for the Pokpung-ho.
