- 01:4901:49, 14 May 2020 diff hist +295 Haredi Judaism Haredim, on the whole, are not wholly "segregated." The most radical among them are, but on the whole they are partly, but not fully, segregated. Language should be more moderate, as reflected here. Also, it is important to also highlight the aspects by which they do not segregate themselves.
- 01:4001:40, 14 May 2020 diff hist +34 Haredi Judaism There is no conclusive evidence that "Haredi Judaism is a reaction to societal changes." Some scholars have suggested is but it is not the consensus and Hareidim themselves do not agree. Making absolute claims about a group, when the group themselves disagree with those claims, is highly disrespectful to that group.

- 01:3301:33, 14 May 2020 diff hist +158 Haredi Judaism The article cited, from WaPo, does not bring any source for the claim that "some [Hareidim] do not care how others refer to them." It is a statement made by the journalist without any quotations. I think if we are discussing how the Hareidim feel, we should allow them to express their own opinions and not rely on what one journalist said about them, without bringing any proof. This is especially in light of the recent rise in anti-Semitism.
- 01:2401:24, 14 May 2020 diff hist −8 Haredi Judaism "their interpretation" cannot be the right term here. First of all, there are many different interpretations of Jewish law among Hareidim themselves, e.g. Hasidim vs. Non-Hasidim. Second of all, it cheapens the fact that Hareidim, by most opinions, genuinely DO adhere to Halacha more strictly than other groups. Other Jewish groups are just as Jewish, but the fact is that they adhere to Halacha less strictly. Using the words "their interpretation" cheapens that which Hareidim hold most dear.
