Oklahoma related Featured Contents

It will be a difficult task indeed, but could someone please help me allocate OK-related feautured articles/pictures? In order to raise the quality of the Portal in terms of presentation and contents, it'd be great to identify the best material WP has to offer about Oklahoma. Thanks! Good Oklahoma articles are going to be tough to find. I don't think there any Oklahoma-related featured articles, but there might be some that are good articles. I suppose we will have some work to do with WikiProject Oklahoma. -- Ash Lux ^{(talk | contribs)} 19:21, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

I don't know if there are any Oklahoma-related featured pictures, but here are a couple of pictures I like:

Oklahoma Featured Article / Oklahoma Featured Picture

I don't know if any other portal has done this, but maybe we could create a template to go on talk pages for articles and images that appear here? Something like the ones used for a featured article {{featured}} and {{Mainpage date}}? Maybe we could have {{Oklahomafeaturedarticle}} and {{Oklahomafeaturedpicture}} and/or {{Oklahomaportal}}? OK, they're ready! (well, sort of anyway). I just created {{OKselectedpic}} and {{OKselectedart}}, which are meant to be added to the current selected picture and article respectively. When we select new ones, the creation of "former" versions should be in order, possibly making a Category and archive subpages as well. Please feel free to enhance these templates at will! Related Portals

Should there be a related portals section? So we can include links to portals like Portal:United States, Portal:Florida, Portal:Texas, Portal:Utah, Portal:Vermont, and Portal:Wisconsin.--Nmajdan 15:30, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw that category too. I only pulled the actual state portals from that category. I didn't know if we should include city portals or the other ones.--Nmajdan 14:32, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
