  • 2002 – The prototype AVE Class 102 train (later used by track authority ADIF as test train Class 330) reaches speeds of 362 km/h (225 mph) during test runs.[5]
  • 2014 – The Shiraz Metro in Iran is officially opened with the first 10.5-kilometre long (6.5 mi) section that includes eight stations connecting Ehsan to Namazi.[6]
