Set to ^

[edit]

Hello! Could someone please set this message to <b>^</b> (*edited)? If you do, the help section on references in the WikiEditor (2010 wikitext editor) interface will match the actual output of references here on the English Wikipedia. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 11:31, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: This would be an incorrect use of the strong element. Besides that, to what section are you referring?
On a separate note, at some point in the next year or two I am pretty sure this will not use a MediaWiki message but instead CSS for presentation entirely per the Parsoid migration, so if you are using this message directly somewhere it will no longer need this modification. @Izno: You're right, it should be <b> instead.
When you use the 2010 editor (WikiEditor), there's a "help" dropdown with various sections; if you click the "references" section (al the way to the bottom in the left panel), the section for "<references />" uses this message, and I think it should be consistent with what is actually output on the wiki.
