Ann is furious when she receives a $4,000 phone bill. She soon begins a letter writing campaign to anyone and everyone, including the President of the United States. Sally, an old school friend of Barbara's shows up for a visit with the news that she is now a mother. Schneider learns that his brother died and that somebody needs to take care of his nephew Keith (Corey Feldman) and niece Lori, so Schneider gets a phone call to come and pick them up. The place where he arrives is a carnival-like place with circus-like people. This place needs repairs and some "manly guidance", so everyone tries to persuade Schneider to move there and with Ann gone and the kids grown up, Schneider finally accepts the move. Note: Pat Harrington Jr. and Valerie Bertinelli are the only cast members to appear in the series finale. Note: The episode was designed as a backdoor pilot for a spinoff that was not picked up by CBS.
