Wyoming East High School is a consolidated regional high school in New Richmond, West Virginia serving the eastern half of Wyoming County, West Virginia. It opened in 1998 and consolidated the former Pineville High School and Mullens High School. Also taking in the former Herndon High School, who consolidated with Mullens High. As well as roughly two-thirds of the attendance area of former Glen Rogers High School, which consolidated with Pineville High. Both Herndon High School and Glen Rogers High School, closed their doors following the 1991-1992 school term. It also celebrates the academic and athletic heritage of Conley High School, which was the county's segregated school and had closed following the 1963-1964 school term, consolidating into Mullens High School. As well as Milam High School, which sat between John McGraw and Ravencliff, West Virginia. Milam High School would later consolidate into Glen Rogers High School, later consolidating into Pineville High School in 1992, before consolidating into Wyoming County East High School ahead of the 1998-1999 school term.

The Wyoming East High School Boys Basketball Team won the Class “AA” Boys Basketball State Championship in 2002, 2007, and 2008, and were State Runner-Ups in 2009 and 2010.

The History of Wyoming East Lady Warrior Basketball

Under Coach Boninsegna, The Wyoming East Lady Warriors appeared in six Class “AA” State Championships within an eight year span, one of the two seasons the Lady Warriors were absent in, the state championship game was cancelled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020. Of those six championship appearances, the Lady Warriors brought the Class “AA” Crown, back home to New Richmond on three of their state championship runs. The Wyoming East Lady Warriors, Class “AA” Girls Basketball State Champions in 2016, 2021, and 2023, and were State Runner-Ups in 2018, 2019, and 2022.

In just the second season of the program, with Coach Kevin Grogg at the helm, The #2 Ranked, Wyoming East Warriors capped off their perfect 14-0 season with a 57-21 win over top-seeded Bluefield to Claim the 1999 Class “AA” State Football Championship.

In 2012, The Wyoming East Warrior Baseball Team claimed the Class “AA” State Baseball Championship winning 1-0 over Herbert Hoover High School.
