Saxon Control of Somerset and Dorset

This map shows Somerset and Dorset being controlled by Saxons in 600AD. While the advance into this region is unclear, it most probably did not happen before the latter half of the seventh century, apart from the capture of the Bath region after the battle at "Deorham".
