Could this be made a valued picture? I think it makes a very powerful point and is technically good.

I would not put any money on this being caused by acid rain. The lower vegetation (also spruce trees) are doing fine.85.77.44.196 (talk) 17:14, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That is probably because emmisions of sulphur dioxide were significantly put down about twenty years ago (in Czech republic), so new vegetation is OK. 62.24.74.216 (talk) 20:02, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Veracity[edit]

How can anyone be sure this was due to acid rain? How long ago did the mature trees die, and how does acid rain make them look like that?
