Summary

Description James Whitaker Wright (9 February 1846 – 26 January 1904) was a company promoter and swindler, who committed suicide at the Royal Courts of Justice in London immediately following his conviction for fraud. Interesting this newspaper reported he died of heart problems, which was either initial speculation or polite avoidance of mentioning suicide? This is a drawing from a newspaper article about his death after the verdict in his case.
