English: Wangford Fen, Wangford, Suffolk View SSW from the northern edge of the fen across reed grassland towards Sayer's Carr in the distance. The deep sandy soils show podzolisation features (Ea, Bh, Bs horizon sequence), later to be swamped by rising ground water for peat to form at the surface. |
