Description
English: Picture side of vintage postcard mailed in 1909 and therefore published prior to that by the A.C. Bosselman & Co. Publ. G. L. Thompson of New York. Shows a daytime view of fortifications and 10-inch cannon mounted on rotating turret, firing. About 15 personnel are visible either active or observing. Caption at top of card reads "Firing the 10 inch No. 517." and manuscript "Fort Terry N.Y. July 17.09. Rob."
