Deutsch: Angriff (Beginn): Deutsche Infanteristen verlassen die Schützengräben um die Höhe Toter Mann (Le mort homme) zu erstürmen (Hintergrund rechts oben). Links (mittlere Bildebene) werfen zwei Infanteristen Handgranaten, im Hintergrund ein Soldat mit Flammenwerfer. In der der unten angebenen Quelle ist die Aufnahme auf 15. März 1916 datiert, nach anderen Quellen fand der Angriff schon am 14. März 1916 statt.
