Summary

Description
English: Wallabout Market in Brooklyn, NY in September 1940. Market established 1884, permanent buildings designed by William Tubby in Dutch Colonial style in 1894-1896. Located north of Flushing Avenue between Washington Avenue and Ryerson Street. Demolished in 1941 to build the Navy Yard during WWII. World Telegram & Sun photo by Al Aumuller.
