Description
English: Title page of The Poetical Works of Oliver Goldsmith, M.B. complete in one volume. With the life of the author. Embellished with Vignettes & Tail-Pieces, designed, and engraved on wood, by T. Bewick. The page contains a vignette of young village men and women dancing in a circle in a rustic setting much like Bewick's home, over a couplet from The Deserted Village:
"And all the village train, from labour free,"
"Led up their sports beneath the spreading tree"
Hereford: printed by D. Walker; and sold by J. Parsons, Bookseller, Paternoster-Row, London. 1794.
