English: Typical local young women having fun at a summer day in Oka Beach, Quebec, Canada. People of the province of Quebec, in Canada, take advantage of the few sunny summer days by gathering amongst family or friends in the beaches along the Saint Lawrence river. These college young women from Gatineau granted me permission to document the kind of fun young Quebecers have, the games they play, and the kind of food and drink they consume. The beach is secured and protected by the SEPAQ National Parks government entity (Oka Beach is within Oka National Park), which not only has park rangers but also first aid rescuers.

Les habitants de la province de Québec, au Canada, profitent des quelques journées ensoleillées d'été pour se retrouver en famille ou entre amis sur les plages du fleuve Saint-Laurent. Ces jeunes étudiantes universitaires de Gatineau m'ont donné permis de documenter la façon que les jeunes Québécois faisent pour avoir le fun, les jeux auxquels ils jouent et le type de nourriture et de boisson qu'ils consomment. La plage est sécurisée et protégée par l'entité gouvernementale des Parcs nationaux SEPAQ (la plage d'Oka se trouve dans le parc national d'Oka), qui compte non seulement des gardes du parc mais aussi des secouristes.
Español: Muchachas locales típicas divirtiéndose en un día de verano en la playa Oka, Quebec, Canadá. Los habitantes de la provincia de Quebec, en Canadá, aprovechan los pocos días soleados de verano para reunirse con familiares o amigos en las playas a lo largo del río San Lorenzo. Estas jóvenes universitarias de Gatineau me dieron permiso para documentar el tipo de diversión que tienen los jóvenes quebequenses, los juegos que practican y el tipo de comida y bebida que consumen. La playa está vigilada y protegida por la entidad gubernamental de Parques Nacionales SEPAQ (Oka Beach está dentro del Parque Nacional Oka), que no solo cuenta con guardaparques sino también con socorristas de primeros auxilios. |
