Description
English: Photogravure of the representatives of China present at the coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia. There are twenty-two men standing in a group with Li-Hung-Tchang (1823-1901), the Ambassador Extraordinary, seated at the front of the group to the right. They are wearing a mix of traditional Chinese costume and western military uniforms. There is a building with a wooden staircase behind them. The coronation of Nicholas II, Emperor of Russia was held at the Kremlin on the 26 May 1896. The celebrations lasted for several weeks and were attended by many foreign royals and dignitaries.
