English: THE BRIDGE IS IN THE CENTER OF THE DISTRICT BUT ALL THE HOUSES SURROUNDING THE BRIDGE ARE PART OF THE DISTRICT WHICH IS THE OLDEST PART OF PIERMONT. THIS HOUSE AT 264 PIERMONT AVENUE WAS BUILT CIRCA 1800 AND IT IS RUMORED THAT AARON BURR SPENT THE NIGHT IN THIS HOUSE AFTER HIS FATAL DUEL WITH ALEXANDER HAMILTON
