Description
English: U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Ernest J. King, USN ,arrives to an unidentified Naval Air Station (probably NAS Anacostia, DC) in his new Curtiss SOC-1 Seagull aircraft (BuNo 9990), 2 June 1936. Contrary to the original description, this photo was taken not onboard USS Lexington - see hangar roofs at the background and concrete surface aircraft stands on.
