This image also represents an important part of the game's storyline, that of The Nameless One finding himself in the mortuary (the area in which the screenshot was taken), with no memory of his previous lives. The Nameless One's waking up is discussed in numerous reviews of the game. In the article, it specifically illustrates the following line from the plot section: "The game's story begins when The Nameless One wakes up in a mortuary. He is immediately approached by a floating skull, Morte", as well as the following line from the "gameplay" section: "Items and spells may be employed through hotkeys, "quick slots," or a radial menu." It is not possible to effectively illustrate the game's interface as described in this second example except through the use of an image such as this one. |
