Summary

Description
English: Schematic diagram illustrating the relationships between the fragments of asteroid P/2013 R3. Each fragment is color-coded based on component letter and sizes are shown approximately to scale (4 km/px). Solid black arrows indicate confidently-known relationships whereas dashed black arrows indicate uncertain relationships. Accompanying these arrows are the dates at which the fragments began to separate from their parent. Unknown separation dates are indicated in question marks. The fading gray dashed lines indicate components that have disappeared before the end of Hubble observations on 14 February 2013. This graphic is based off of Figure 8 of Jewitt et al. (2017) from The Astronomical Journal, and uses data from that particular publication.
