Left: No. 3, The Bund. This is the Union Building, completed in 1916. It features a Neo-Renaissance style with some Baroque details. Formerly the home of various insurance companies, “Three on the Bund” is now the location of several of Shanghai’s best restaurants. Right: No. 4, The Bund. This is the Mercantile Bank of India, London, and China building, built between 1916 and 1918.
