English: Royal Red Cross 1st Class (RRC) Medal awarded to 22-12 Matron Cora B Anderson, NZANS, WW1 golden cross, 35 mm width, plain ring suspension, with ribbon Obverse- enamelled red, with broad silver edges around the enamel; a circular medallion bearing effigy of King George V. The words "Faith", "Hope" and "Charity" are inscribed on the upper limbs of the cross, with the year "1883" in the lower limb. Reverse- plain except a circular medallion bearing the Royal Cypher of the George V ribbon- 28mm wide grosgrain, dark blue with crimson edge stripes

Notes Royal Red Cross 1st Class (RRC) (Geo V-GRI) 22-12 Matron Cora Beattie Anderson, NZANS, WW1 Cora Beattie Anderson, RRC, ARRC, MID (1881-1962) Married Name- Cora B Roberton Served- WW1- Egypt, England awards- RRC and ARRC and MID Cora received the Royal Red Cross 1st Class in 1919 (LG 31-7-1919 p9822) "In recognition of her valuable nursing service in connection with the War" she had earlier received the 2nd Class Royal Red Cross and been mentioned in despatches.
