Description
Español: Retrato del politico español Manuel González Salmón (1778-1832), que fue secretario de Estado del rey Carlos IV de España en la corte de San Petersburgo y ministro de Estado en 1819 y posteriormente desde 1826 hasta su muerte. Y según algunos autores el retrato debió ser realizado hacia 1826, ya que el retratado aparenta tener unos cuarenta y ocho años de edad y luce la gran cruz y la banda de la Orden de Carlos III, así como las insignias de la Orden de Cristo, del reino de Portugal, la de la Orden de San Jenaro, del reino de Nápoles, y la cruz de la Orden de Santa Ana, otorgada en el Imperio ruso. Y el cuadro fue donado en 1844 a la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando por la viuda de Manuel González Salmón, María Pilar Onís.
