Description
English: Painting "Male Wood Duck in a Forest Pool" by Abbott Handerson Thayer 1909. (Thayer died in 1921). In the painting, for the book "Concealing-Coloration in the Animal Kingdom", Thayer tries to show the brilliant plumage as disruptive camouflage.
