Description

Cutout picture af a photo of comet C/2004 Q2 Machholz taken in Andalusia (Spain) in a night in februar 2005 with very dry air. The time the picture was taken comet C/2004 Q2 Machholz was about 180 million kilometers away from earth and its apparent magnitude was 4.4m. The picture was taken using the following equipement:

  • 8 inch newton telescope
  • 2 inch Barlow lense
  • 42mm Plössl ocular
  • G2 camera
  • median image made with Giotto (software) out of 24 single pictures, small postprocessing with Photoshop (tonal value and contrast)
