| Description | The Light Tank, T1E4, a U.S. Army light tank built in 1932 by modifying a T1E1. This tank had a completely different layout from older T1 versions, with the engine now in the rear, the drive in the front, and the turret in the middle. Its suspension was also new, with semi-elliptic leaf springs and articulated four-wheel bogies. The gun was a 37 mm semi-automatic gun M1924, longer than the T1E1's M1916 but shorter than the long-barreled Browning of the T1E3. Here the driver's front hatch is open. | |||
