Svenska: Karin Edvall är en svensk författare som skriver både skönlitteratur och faktaböcker, med inrikning mot historia.

Karin Edvall föddes och växte upp i Umeå. Efter studier vid Umeå universitet flyttade hon till Göteborg 1985, och gick bibliotekshögskolan i Borås 1986-1987. Debuten skedde med novellen Begravningen i tidskriften Vårlösen 1987, men sedan infann sig en drygt tio år lång litterär tystnad, ända fram till bokdebuten 2002 med De bortglömdas skuggor, en dokumentär i kvinnohistoria. Karin Edvalls författarskap rör sig med stor övervikt i samhällets utkant, bland de fattiga, utsatta och ensamma, och kännetecknas av skarp pskologisk blick och historisk detaljrikedom.
