Source

Photo taken by contract photographer Toivo A. Kaitila for a Chicago newspaper. Famous jazz collector John Steiner referred Alec Boswell (Chess organizer in Liverpool England) to Jazz, Ltd in Chicago in the 40s or 50s. Alec visited the club and met Bill and Ruth Reinhardt. He obtained the photos either from the Reinhardts or Steiner. When Alec died in 2014 his daughter Alison inherited his jazz collection and sold them on eBay (item 261800886270) in 2015. Guy Demole of Pictet & Cie bank in Geneva Switzerland purchased them. In 2015 Chris Kaufmann (2nd cousin of Bill Reinhardt) found Guy thru eBay sale. After Guy was done using the pictures for a future book he sent them to Chris. front and back
