Description
English:

A photograph of a funerary stele from the article "France" in the 1901-1906 The Jewish Encyclopedia, captioned "Earliest Known Inscription Relating to the Jews of France, Dated Narbonne, 689". Based on the date it would have been created in the Visigothic Kingdom.

In other sources it is described as a "Christian inscription"[1] and as a Jewish inscription dated with the local calendar—the regnal year of King Egica—rather than the Hebrew calendar[2].
