This is the William Sisson House, at 69 Main Street. (The 1940 HABS documents are not specific on address, identifying this just as a house opposite the post office. The 1981 National Register of Historic Places application for the North Stonington Village Historic District, however, includes photo showing same house identified there as the William Sisson House, at 69 Main Street (photo 3 with the NRHP document). The North Stonington Post Office is at 60 Main Street (photo 9 in NRHP document). In 1981 the house is sans small roof and supporting posts, over the front doorway.)
