Deutsch: Die Villa Hindenburg war nicht der erste Wohnsitz des Generalfeldmarschalls Paul von Hindenburg in Hannover. Nachdem er zuvor etwa die dortige Villa Köhler bewohnt hatte, hatte ihm die Stadt nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg ihrem Ehrenbürger die 1909 von dem Architekten Emil Lorenz erbaute Villa (heute: Bristoler Straße 6) zum Geschenk gemacht. Die hier zu sehende Ansichtskarte, in einem für die 1920er Jahre typischen Braunton, zeigt den General in einem Porträtmedaillon und wurde im März 1925 postalisch versandt (siehe unten, Adressseite), bevor er wenig später zum Reichspräsidenten gewählt wurde ... |
