Summary

Description
English: Plaque recording the site of the medieval and early modern town boundary cross known as Hand Cross in Church Street, Croydon. The plaque was erected 1977 by the Rotary Clubs of Croydon South and Croydon East to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. It was placed on 110 Church Street, part of the northern buildings of the House of Reeves furniture store. This building was destroyed in an arson attack during the riots of August 2011.
