Description
English: Spyridon Loverdos's book, Ho mētropolitēs Smyrnēs Chrysostomos, is a history of the the martyred Chrysostomos, Greek orthodox bishop of Smyrna who died during the Turkish Greek war in 1922. The two-headed eagle on the front cover is of Byzantine origin and symbolizes victory. Book is held in the George Baer Collection of Bookbinding at the University of North Carolina Library
