Description
English: This document is part of an official certificate issued for Enchin when he received the bodhisattva precepts from Abbot Gishin at the Enryaku-ji Temple ordination platform in 833 (Tenchô 10). It is signed with the names of three administrative officers (J. bettô). This document is part of the national treasure: "Documents related to the priest Enchin (円珍関係文書, enchin kankei monjo)".
