Literally, “Fredegunda Arming Sigibert’s Murderers.” Fredegunda, while under siege with her husband, Chilperic, in Tournai, dispatched two soldiers to kill the opposing side’s king, Sigibert. The swords, or scramasaxi, were said to be poisoned too.
