English: Elie Golf Course Starter Hut. The structure around the Starter Hut is to support a Periscope! Due to a sand dune you can't see the first green from the tee. They used to use a mirror, but the club were presented with the periscope by a member. The Periscope came from HMS Excalibur which was scrapped in 1968. |
