DescriptionElectricity sector in Sri Lanka.png	English: Chart showing the on-grid installed electrical capacity (in megawatts) and on-grid electrical production (in gigawatt-hours) of Sri Lanka, from 2000 to present. Hydropower sources consists of both large government-owned facilities and private small-hydro plants. Thermal sources consists of diesel, natural gas, and all other fuel oil sources. Coal sources consists of the 900-megawatt Lakvijiya Power Station, commissioned in late-2011. It is the country's only coal power station. Other renewable power sources consists of wind power, solar power, and biofuels such as biomass. Other notes: There are minor mismatches in the 'total' values when compared between the yearly digests published by the CEB (installed capacity and power generation). In such cases, the original values are considered, not the altered valued published during the following year. Multiple minor arithmetic errors are present in the statistical reports. In such instances, a mathematically corrected figure has been used. Errors include deviations from the actual totals by 1-5 MW/GWh. This clustered stacked bar chart was custom made using Microsoft Excel 2016. (Clustered stacked bar charts are not available in Excel as a predefined type)
