Filmowe podsumowanie projektu "Świadectwo człowieczeństwa w czasie zagłady. Historia Ireny Gut-Opdyke" realizowanego przez Miejską Bibliotekę Publiczną im. Teodora Heneczka w Piekarach Śląskich w 2022 roku. Projekt jest formą upamiętnienia przedwojennej mieszkanki Piekar Śląskich - z zaszczytnego grona ok. 7 tys. Polaków odznaczonych tytułem Sprawiedliwych Wśród Narodów Świata, która z narażeniem życia ratowała Żydów skazanych przez Niemców na zagładę w okresie II wojny światowej. Dofinansowano ze środków Muzeum Historii Polski w Warszawie w ramach programu "Patriotyzm Jutra". Montaż: Mateusz Żywulski

Irena Gut Opdyke. Polish woman. Righteous Among the Nations. She saved a dozen (17) Jews during World War II during the German occupation of Poland 1939-1945. Film summary of the project "Testimony of humanity during the Holocaust. The story of Irena Gut-Opdyke" implemented by the Municipal Public Library, named after "Teodor Heneczek" in Piekary Śląskie in 2022. The project is a form of commemoration of a pre-war inhabitant of Piekary Śląskie - from an honorable group of about 7,000 Poles awarded the title of Righteous Among the Nations, who risked her life to save Jews sentenced to extermination by the Germans during World War II. Co-financed by the Polish History Museum in Warsaw as part of the "Patriotism of Tomorrow" program. Editing: Mateusz Żywulski
