Summary

Description
English: This sweater was handmade by the Cowichan artisan Dora Wilson: it features the Thunderbird design. Basically the wool for this sweater was procured from local farms that are still operated on Vancouver Island as well as surrounding island. The wool is then carefully washed to preserve the lanolin, after it is hand spun and knit. The ideal sweater is coarse enough to breathe through its fabric, yet during light rains it stays dry on the inside thanks to the wool grease.
