Description
English: A graduation commencement medal awarded to Masters level graduates in academic majors overseen by the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences at The George Washington University. The medal is worn by graduates during the graduation ceremony. The medal depicts a Biblical lion laying down with a lamb below an open book. The original medal was designed by James Peale in 1821.
