Summary

Description

Borealosuchus wilsoni crocodilian at the Houston Museum of Natural Science (HMNS)

From museum exhibit signage:

CROCODILE
Borealosuchus wilsoni

Primitive crocodiles were the top aquatic predators in the lake ecosystem. Based on teeth, coprolites and even bite marks on other fossils, their presence was more common in the ecosystem than the few articulated skeletons that have been found suggest. This exquisite example also has traces of skin near the back legs.
