Description
English: Dr. Berek Lajcher (1893-1943), inmate of the Treblinka extermination camp in occupied Poland, leader of the perilous Jewish prisoner uprising at the camp. Lajcher was killed in the revolt on August 2, 1943 along with most of its participants. Photograph from his university years in Warsaw, published by Roman Weinfeld in Midrasz bi-monthly, 2013.
