Summary

Description
English: The walkway around the Tidal Basin regularly floods during high tide. The water in this area has totally covered the path and the benches that are usually on dry land are partially submerged. In the distance the Washington Monument can be seen.

In 2024 the National Park Service will start a project to make the retaining walls taller to prevent this type of flooding.
