DescriptionBanbury Museum - Oxford Canal, Banbury (8723264045).jpg
This is the <anofollow" class="external free">http://www.cherwell.gov.uk/museum/index.cfm?articleid=5758" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Banbury Museum</a>. It is right next to the Oxford Canal, and opened in 2002.
I went into the museum on Bank Holiday Monday.
In the museum itself, you are not allowed to take photos (for copyright reasons which I respect).
Although was ok to take photos on the bridge that crossed the canal (before entering the museum).
The museum charted the history of Banbury. Including the Civil War right through to the 20th century.
They also had student art on display on one floor.
The original Banbury Cross was inside. It was pulled down during the Civil War period.
It was free to enter.
I came in via the Castle Quay Shopping Centre (via the Tourist Information Centre and gift shop). And exited via the revolving doors (near Spiceball Park Road).
The museum as seen from one of the Castle Quay footbridges over the canal.
