Description
English: Baijnath town lies in the centre of 'Katyur' valley, on the banks of the Gomti River in the Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand, India, about 300 km from the state capital Dehradun. Baijnath was the capital of Katyuri Kings, who ruled the area from 9th-12th century AD.

Location: Almora-Bageshwar-Karanprayag Rd, Baijnath, Uttarakhand 263641. Open and Closing Time: Summer - 05:00 am to 07:00 pm. Winter - 06:00 am to 06:00 pm.

Best time to visit: During summer March-May (25 to 11 degree Celsius), During winter snows heavily November-January (15 to 2 degree Celsius).

Nearest Airport : Pantnagar Airport at a distance of nearly 185 kilometres from Bajinath Temple.

Nearest Railway Station: Kathgodam railway station at a distance of nearly 151 kilometres from Bajinath Temple.

By Road: Baijnath is 17 km from Kasauni. State-owned buses connect Baijnath to Almora, Ranikhet, Nainital, Kasauni and Pithoragarh.

The main attraction of this temple is standing statue of Parvati Made of Grey Schist, Tresses of 26 miniatrure images around it.
