Media data and Non-free use rationale
Description Picture of Mark Bradford's mixed media artwork Amendment #8 (2014) at the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., in 2023. An abstract artwork made from torn, slashed, and smeared paper. Lines of text from the Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution have been abstracted away to the point of illegibility. The paper has been reformed to resemble an abstract painting, with visible marks that look like brushstrokes of red, black, and white.
